What Data We Collect
- Contacts: the data you send us on WhatsApp, Instagram or by email (usually name, surname and phone number).
- Consultation: first name, last name, phone, email, the body area, the description of your idea and, if you upload them, photos of the area or of your references.
- Sessions and pre-session: the dates you choose, the format (in the studio or by video call) and the outcome of the deposit payment. Payment takes place on PayPal: we only receive the confirmation and its code, never your card details.
- Acceptance of the terms: when you accept the booking terms we record the date and time, your IP address and browser type, as proof of acceptance.
- Waiting list: if you ask to move your session earlier, your position on the list and the dates we offer you.
- Client record: your details, your tattoo idea and a history of changes (who changed what and when), to keep appointments, emails and calendar consistent.
- Informed consent: before the session, in the studio, your personal details, address, tax code and signature, as required by the rules for tattoo work. The form is saved as a PDF.
Why We Use It and the Legal Basis
- Managing consultations, pre-session and sessions (booking, confirmation and reminder emails, rescheduling, waiting list): necessary for the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Informed consent and tax records: legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Proof of accepted terms and system security: legitimate interest in being able to show what was agreed (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How Long We Keep It
Appointment data is kept for as long as needed to manage the appointments and then for no more than 24 months after the last one, so we can follow up if you come back for another tattoo or a touch-up. Tax records, informed consent and proof of accepted terms are kept for as long as the law requires or as needed to protect ourselves in case of disputes (up to 10 years).
Providers and Processors
Data is not sold or shared with third parties. To manage bookings we rely on providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: booking database, on servers in the European Union.
- n8n: workflow automation (emails, calendar, records), on a European server.
- Google: sending emails (Gmail), appointment calendar (Google Calendar), folders with photos and documents (Google Drive) and internal records (Google Sheets).
- Vercel: website hosting.
- CookieYes: managing your cookie preferences.
PayPal (deposit payments) and WhatsApp (messages and video calls) process data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. The site also loads fonts, icons and some components from Google Fonts and content delivery services (jsDelivr, cdnjs), which receive your device's IP address in order to serve them.
Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Union (for example to the United States): in these cases the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive a copy of it. You can also correct your name, phone number and tattoo idea yourself, from the Manage appointments page linked in our emails. For anything else, including changing your email address, write to irenegipsytattoo@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

This site uses only technical cookies, necessary for it to work (navigation, booking forms) and to remember your cookie choices. No profiling, behavioural tracking or analytics cookies are used.
The cookie banner is managed by CookieYes, which stores your choice in a technical cookie. You can change it at any time from the banner.
Integrated services (Google Maps, Google Fonts) may set their own functional cookies, governed by their respective privacy policies.

Free Consultation
The consultation is booked online, is free and non-binding and requires no deposit. It lasts about half an hour and takes place in the studio in Rome or by WhatsApp video call, at 10:30, 14:00 or 21:00 (the 21:00 slot is video only). It can be rescheduled or cancelled freely and at no cost at any time, via the personal link contained in the confirmation and reminder emails. The deposit conditions below apply solely to tattoo sessions.
Bookings & Deposits
- 1. Deposit: each session requires a €50 deposit to confirm the booking, deducted from the final total. A separate deposit is needed for each session. On the website the deposit is paid online with PayPal.
- 2. Cancellation and rescheduling: with more than 14 days' notice the deposit is refunded or converted to credit for a new date; with less than 14 days' notice the deposit is non-refundable.
- 3. Force majeure: in case of cancellation or rescheduling within 14 days due to a medical certificate or documented bereavement, the deposit is not forfeited and remains valid as a credit for a new agreed booking.
- 4. Design work and withdrawal: after the booking Irene works on the tattoo design and prepares it for the pre-session. If the client gives up the tattoo after Irene has already worked on the design and prepared it for the pre-session, the deposit for the first session (€50) is kept by Irene as compensation for the time and costs of creating it, whatever the reason for withdrawing. If more than one session was booked, the deposits for the other sessions follow the conditions of point 2. Withdrawal means no longer getting the tattoo: moving the dates is not a withdrawal.
- Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and are non-refundable.
Pre-session
Before the first session there is a pre-session: a half-hour meeting at 18:00, in the studio or by video call, where Irene shows you the design and you finalise it together. It is scheduled at least 21 days before the first session, to give Irene time to prepare the drawing, and it can be rescheduled from the personal link you receive by email.
Waiting List
If you would like an earlier session you can join the waiting list. When a day becomes free, Irene may offer it to you by email: you have 24 hours to reply. If you accept, your session moves to the new date; if you decline or do not reply, your date stays as it is and you go back to the end of the list.
Prices & Invoicing
The price agreed with the tattoo artist constitutes the consideration for the service. Any applicable taxes are indicated on the invoice, issued at the time of payment in accordance with the applicable tax regime.
Intellectual Property
All site content (texts, images, design) is the exclusive property of Irene Gipsy Tattoo and is protected by copyright. Reproduction without written consent is prohibited.
Content and Artificial Intelligence
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (AI Act), we inform you that some content on this website was created or processed using artificial intelligence tools:
- The body-zone illustrations in the quote guide are images generated with artificial intelligence.
- Some photographs of the work have been retouched with artificial intelligence tools only for lighting and ambient correction: they nonetheless depict real tattoos made by Irene Gipsy Tattoo.
- The texts and graphics of this website were produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools.
The portfolio photographs depict authentic work and are not artificially generated, except for the lighting retouching noted above.
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome.
